Community Keystone

Overview

Forefront is a community committed to fostering an environment that respects and honors all members, regardless of sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or age.

By accepting the Discord server rules and participating in the Forefront community, it is expected that all members support and build upon our Community Keystone.

In Our Web3 Global City...

  • We are empowered Citizens.

  • Forefront Citizens also have ownership; this ownership of the whole is embodied via the $FF token and intentional, ethical governance.

  • In the Forefront Global City, the future is brought into being by "We, the Citizens."

  • Citizens are one another's keepers; we embody this through our Community Keystone.

  • Community is local.

  • Community is handcrafted.

  • Community is nurtured by Citizens.

  • Please care for this space as your own Community - because it is!

Our Community Stands For...

Inclusivity

  • All are most welcome to join our Forefront fam.

  • We are intentional about cultivating a welcoming environment to empower the people and voices who are or have been traditionally under-represented and/or marginalized in the crypto/web3 space.

  • Please use gender-neutral pronouns and salutations when addressing community members (unless the preferred pronouns have been specified by the member).

Diversity

  • Our differences enrich our community and make us stronger.*

  • We stand for the right to express dissenting opinions, but always with respect.

Transparency

  • Forefront values the open sharing of information whenever possible, and is especially dedicated to building in public to empower social learning.

Intentional Communication

  • Openness to others' perspectives and deep listening are active states!

  • Practicing Intentional Communication is paramount to cultivating a resilient and restorative community.*

Integrity

  • Trust is foundational to community.

  • We strive to create community experiences that cultivate relatedness and that honor authenticity.

Express Yourself

  • Our ability to create is a super power that can transform, inspire and uplift.

  • We will cultivate this power within our community, in service to the crypto space and the greater whole of which we are a part.*

Behavior violating our Community Keystone

  • Implicitly or explicitly offensive comments related to sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or age.

  • Harassment, including persistent attempts to communicate with someone after requests are ignored or declined.

  • Deliberate intimidation.

  • Disregarding preferred gender pronouns or preferred name.

  • Unwanted sexual attention or comments.

  • Sustained disruption of discussion

  • Publication of private personal information (e.g. Name, location, identifying details)

Scope

The Forefront Community Keystone applies to all community members and to all community spaces, URL or IRL, that are owned, managed or facilitated by Forefront Core Staff or Contributors. These places include but are not limited to Forefront's Discord server, Notion, Basecamp, Twitter spaces, IRL meet-ups, metaverse spaces, and collaborative spaces such as Figma, Miro, and Google docs.

Offboarding

Offboarding of Community Members may occur through violation of our Community Keystone and/or (in the case of Contributors) work-performance related issues. The offboarding may be temporary or permanent.

Any community member or Contributor may initiate the process of offboarding by submitting a formal write-up to the Community Ops Lead. At present, the Core Team will steward the evaluation and resolution of all write-ups. In the future, this will be progressively decentralized to a dedicated working group under Community Ops, or a representative governance body akin to a DAO Judiciary.

In the future, we are committed to developing a pathway for "restorative reconciliation" and integrating it into our general offboarding framework.
